Role Summary
Job Description Summary
Within the Wind Onshore entity of GE Vernova dedicated to the maintenance of wind turbines, we are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician. You work within the Services entity made up of a team of 6/8 people and report to the Area Manager.
Responsibilities
Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on wind turbines: check bolt torques, lubricate moving parts, replace air and oil filters, perform cleaning, check oil level and coolant level, calibrate inductive turbine sensors
- Perform corrective maintenance of wind turbines: replace electronic boards, electric motors, reducers, inductive sensors, temperature sensors, capacitors, diodes, sources, couplings, encoders, adjust inductive sensors, calibrate pitch system
- Perform internal and external inspection on the wind turbine components
- Ensure customer satisfaction with maintenance solutions, according to the metrics of service, terms, performance and quality defined by the area
- Review the effectiveness of maintenance actions to identify training needs
- Acting according to standardization of processes, tools and procedures related to maintenance, contributing to their improvement
- Follow the guidelines and comply with the internal procedures of the clients, according to the designated location, participating in any training to carry out the activities
- Responsible for the correct use, conservation, maintenance and optimization of the company's assets, as well as ensuring the cleaning and organization of the work area
- Comply with the integrity and compliance guidelines as well as the company's EHS standards and procedures
- Climbing and descending with some frequency the wind turbines (metallic or concrete structures): all works in the wind turbines are executed at the level of the ground and to, at least, 80 meters of height
Requirements
You hold a BTS/DUT/License in industrial maintenance, electrical engineering or equivalent experience/knowledge and have initial experience in this field.
- You like teamwork and you accept working at height
- BZEE/GWO training is an asset.
- Holding a first aid certificate is a plus.
- You have the ability to work independently while following high professional and quality standards.
- You demonstrate initiative and motivation.
Position open to European candidates, eligible to work in France (French required, English is recommended).

About the Company
Your missions will be
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance operations:
- by preparing and organizing interventions;
- by carrying out control of scheduled interventions in compliance with defined operating procedures;
- by following the procedures, the operating methods of control, visits, inspections on the wind turbine while integrating safety;
- by identifying and diagnosing malfunctions or breakdowns and defining corrective actions.
- Ensure inventory management:
- by taking inventory of spare parts and tools;
- by defining and anticipating the needs for spare parts and tools;
- by taking inventory of vehicles and tracking mileage.
- Capitalize on information, communicate with other technicians and suggest improvements:
- by providing information and updating documents in conjunction with technical support;
- by reporting to the hierarchy of interventions;
- by making proposals for improving the work tool;
- by supervising subcontractors. In all circumstances, it is necessary to respect and apply the Safety, Hygiene and Environment instructions in force in the company.
