Role Summary

Our team carries out service activities on all types of ships. You will join a team of 9 technicians whose mission is to maintain or modernize electrical distribution installations. It is based in La Ciotat, an environment allowing it to project itself into the two main ports of the Mediterranean maritime region and internationally.

Attached to the FSR (Field Service Representative) Leader (Laurent) you will be required to work on panels, circuit breakers, protection relays. Interventions take place in complete autonomy aboard commercial ships, generally during a stopover or in coastal navigation. You will be responsible for and will supervise and carry out operations related to the diagnosis, maintenance and commissioning of on-board equipment. You will have to adapt to the constraints of the maritime environment, respect specific safety standards on board and ensure professional communication with international crews.

Your main missions

  • Is responsible for his own safety and that of his colleagues. It demonstrates to customers our “Security” know-how,
  • Develops or participates in and signs with the client the prevention plan and/or PPSPS and risk analysis,
  • Manage possible subcontractors and other beginner FSRs,
  • Enters construction time and travel costs in the information system,
  • Is responsible for the installed base at his client (Entered in the monitoring tool

customer equipment),

  • Documents, writes and archives its interventions with precise clarity and readability (reports, PVI, FBC, quality safety, etc.),
  • Is active in maintaining and developing knowledge of products and services

SCHNEIDER and professional tools

  • Is responsible for its PPE EPC, its equipment and common tools, (Monitoring and

metrology),

  • Travels in France and abroad in areas compliant with the travel security policy
  • Participates in the continuous improvement of our safety and quality management systems,
  • Collect and report commercial information

Requirements

  • BTS electrotechnics
  • A first experience in traveling maintenance of electrotechnical equipment

Your skills

  • Significant experience in the field of high voltage and low voltage with skills in HTA-LV
  • The desire to learn, to develop your technical skills thanks to more experienced members of the team
  • The desire to work on our customers' ships and therefore to travel independently for long periods of time (sometimes several weeks)
  • Experience on electrical panels and HV and LV products (panel, circuit breaker,

contactor)

  • Experience with protection relays (digital and analog)
  • Writing skills in French and English
  • Flexibility (roaming role with regular travel)
  • Technical English (B2+ or even C1)

This position requires regular travel which can last several weeks at sea and on national territory. Discontinuations are therefore to be expected in this position.

As such, it is required that you be “Secret Defense Authorized” or “already hold a Secret Defense Authorization” issued by the competent authority. Obtaining (or maintaining) this authorization constitutes a “Condition of Practice” of the position and may give rise to an administrative investigation.
