On its site located in Villeurbanne (France), the Grid Solutions activity designs, tests and manufactures high-voltage circuit breakers intended for its national and international customers.

To support a strong growth market driven by the energy transition and the development of low-carbon electricity networks, the electrification branch of GE Vernova is investing massively in the development of new technologies and new products.

The position is attached to the Research & Development Center for high-voltage equipment.

You will join a team of engineers and technicians as part of a development project aimed at designing high-performance products to expand our catalog of solutions and access new markets linked to the energy transition in Europe and the USA.

In this role, you will be in charge of producing deliverables (CAD/CAD models, plans, nomenclatures in an ERP, configurations, documents, etc.) in your area of expertise, according to specifications and/or technical definition and the regulations in force, and under the responsibility of the Team Manager and/or the Design Engineer.

Execution

• Write and update technical documents for new projects and simple developments within set deadlines, and at the expected level of quality, following procedures and work instructions
• Participate in technical meetings with internal and exceptionally external customers and suppliers to ensure that products and systems conform to technical design and specifications.

Product/process improvement

• Submit ideas for improvement and problem solving relating to means/tools and participate in the corresponding working groups.
• Participate in cost reduction actions and propose/implement solutions to achieve the objectives

Controls and validations

• Make available or participate in the provision of products conforming to the specifications (technical, costs and deadlines)
• Apply current standards and regulations - Follow the validation process for all deliverables

Profile sought

• BTS/DUT type training and/or good knowledge in one or more of the following fields: mechanics, electrical, electromechanics, electrotechnics, fluids, automation,
• Good knowledge of computer-aided design methods and principles,
• Good oral and written communication skills in English,
• Expertise in the technological fields of its scope of activity,
• Ability to interact in an international multicultural environment.
