Role Summary

Context

Within the production team, and under the responsibility of the team leader, you will join a bioproduction unit operating according to GMP (GMP) standards. You will work on USP (cell culture) and/or DSP (recombinant protein purification) activities, within an environment with high quality requirements using "single-use" technologies.

Responsibilities

  1. Preparation of production activities (USP & DSP)
  • Qualification/preparation of equipment and verification of the availability of materials, buffers, consumables and assemblies.
  • Writing and management of manufacturing recipes in a computerized system (parameters, sequences, durations, temperature instructions, etc.).
  • Implementation of “single-use” production kits.
  • Organization and storage of the area in compliance with GMP/GMP and internal procedures.
  • Participation in line emptying, cleaning and first level maintenance of areas and equipment.
  1. Carrying out USP activities (if cell culture assignment)
  • Aseptic handling in a laminar flow hood.
  • Amplification of cultures (flasks, wave bags).
  • Inoculation and monitoring of 200–2000 L bioreactors.
  • Batch clarification and end of cultivation management.
  • Creation of cell banks.
  1. Carrying out DSP activities (if purification assignment)
  • Conducting manual purification operations or via automated recipes.
  • Implementation of chromatography, depth filtration, TFF (tangential filtration) or dialysis activities.
  • Cleaning, conditioning and preparation of chromatography columns.
  1. Monitoring, documentation and quality
  • Rigorous traceability in batch files and quality systems.
  • Worksheet review and post-activity review.
  • Opening and monitoring of deviations if necessary.
  • Compilation of data and participation in technical investigations.
  1. Schedules and organization
  • Morning/afternoon rotational work.
  • Punctual duty on weekends and possible on-call depending on production needs.

Requirements

Profile sought (USP/DSP common criteria)

Training

  • Bac +2/3: BTS/DUT/Professional license in biotechnology, microbiology, chemistry, process engineering, pharmaceuticals or agri-food.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in biotechnology production, cell culture or purification (small or large scale).

Technical skills

  • Knowledge of biotechnologies and/or the production of recombinant proteins.
  • Good understanding of a GMP environment and aseptic constraints.
  • Proficiency or familiarity with single-use equipment.
  • Comfortable with computerized systems (MES, recipe writing).
  • For USP: suitability for sterile handling.
  • For DSP: knowledge of purification techniques (chromato, TFF, etc.).

Personal qualities

  • A hands-on person, rigorous, dynamic, curious.
  • Good team spirit and sense of communication.
  • Ability to follow a schedule and contribute to meeting production deadlines.

HSE

  • Strict compliance with safety instructions, wearing PPE, waste management.
  • Proactive reporting of risk situations and participation in continuous improvement.
