Role Summary
Are you an Occupational Risk Prevention professional with experience in industrial environments and are you looking for a stable project, with development and a top-level technical environment?
At SGS we want to incorporate a Senior Technician in Occupational Risk Prevention to provide technical support in monitoring internal and external activities carried out in the plant.
The selected person will have a regular presence in the field and will collaborate with area managers, own personnel, contractor companies and the HSE team to ensure safe working conditions and compliance with applicable preventive procedures.
Main functions
Coordinate and perform preventive monitoring of concurrent business activities in an industrial environment.
Review and validate the preventive documentation necessary for access and execution of work by own personnel and external companies.
Check the correct completion and application of ordinary and special work permits, including risk identification, preventive measures, preventive resources and associated documentation.
Verify in the field the safety conditions of work with special risks, such as blocking and consignment of energy (LOTO), hot work, height, confined spaces or other critical activities.
Carry out tours and periodic preventive inspections in the work areas, verifying that the established measures are applied and maintained throughout the activity.
Detect, document and communicate deviations or risk situations, request their correction and, when there is serious or imminent risk, promote the safe cessation of work in accordance with established procedures.
Record evidence of the checks carried out and prepare daily or periodic reports on supervised work, incidents, deviations and corrective actions.
Monitor the closure of findings and propose improvements aimed at reducing risks and strengthening the preventive culture.
Maintain fluid communication with operational managers, HSE, contractor companies and other internal and external interlocutors.
Support preventive planning of work outside normal hours, on weekends or holidays, guaranteeing adequate coordination and prior communication.

Requirements
- What are we looking for in you?
- Master's Degree in Occupational Risk Prevention or equivalent qualification as a Higher Occupational Health and Safety Technician.
- Specific training or creditable knowledge in Coordination of Business Activities (CAE), work permits, energy allocation and LOTO procedures.
- Minimum experience of 2 years as a Senior ORP Technician in production plants, industrial facilities or prevention services linked to the industrial sector.
