Environmental Technician (Granollers work area)

Role Summary

We select an Environmental Technician to join the environmental area of an important SGS client, within the industrial sector, with the aim of guaranteeing regulatory compliance and correct environmental management of the facilities, as well as providing technical support in matters of sustainability and administrative procedures.

We are looking for a person with training in environmental sciences or equivalent qualification and demonstrable experience in functions similar to those detailed below.

• Environmental license
• Monitoring of environmental files
• Coordination and monitoring of initial and periodic controls with Environmental Control Entities (EAC)
• Advice on the management of procedures associated with the environmental license
• Waste and packaging management
• Advice on applicable regulations and best practices
• Supervision of waste storage and management
• Coordination with authorized managers
• Preparation of annual declarations (waste and packaging)
• Monitoring of hazardous waste minimization plans
• Support in business plans for packaging prevention and ecodesign
• Document management associated with waste and packaging

• Processing and monitoring of discharge authorizations
• Management of official declarations (DUCA, water consumption models, etc.)
• air pollution
• Registration and legalization of emitting sources
• Monitoring of regulatory controls
• Noise pollution
• Advice for compliance with current regulations

Requirements

• Degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering or similar
• Minimum experience of 2 years in equivalent functions in an industrial or consulting environment
• Knowledge of applicable environmental regulations (waste, discharges, emissions, etc.)
• Experience in document management and administrative processing
• Capacity for organization, autonomy and transversal work with production and maintenance
