As part of the development of our activities in the Data Center sector in particular, we are looking for an Environmental Consultant – Confirmed Project Manager for a permanent position (full-time) to support our clients in carrying out their industrial projects.
You will be based in Aix-en-Provence, Vaulx-en-Velin, Bordeaux or Paris.
Regular travel mainly within France is to be expected (valid B permit required).
This position is open to teleworking.
These include
- Expertise in environmental assessment and environmental risk management
- Ability to analyze and interpret multiple environmental data
- In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations
- Ability to carry out detailed environmental audits
- Geographic and spatial understanding of sites
- Appetite for digitalization tools (GIS, AI, IGN Tools, etc.)
Perfect command of French and English allowing you to understand and write technical documents and communicate within Ramboll as well as with our international clients,
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary and international teams
Personal skills/abilities such as oral and written communication, organization, rigor, autonomy, spirit of initiative, synthesis and analysis, curiosity and desire to learn.

Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will be
- Environmental assessment of virgin land or industrial wasteland for the implementation of new projects,
- Identification and analysis of applicable environmental and urban planning regulatory constraints and assistance in the design of projects to take these different constraints into account,
- Preliminary feasibility studies with regard to various environmental issues (e.g.: water supply, energy management, natural and technological risks, modeling, etc.),
- Assistance in the preparation of files and studies required to obtain environmental permits (ICPE files, impact studies, etc.),
- Writing commercial proposals and customer relationship management,
- Project management including mission planning, supervision and monitoring of the project team and management of deliverables and deadlines for the client.
- Within Ramboll France, the QHSE culture is a strong value: compliance with instructions and active participation in the QHSE improvement of the structure are expected.
Your new team
You will be part of Ramboll France, the French entity of the Environment and Health division of the international engineering and consulting group Ramboll, which is located in Aix-en-Provence (head office), Paris, Lyon and Bordeaux and has more than 100 employees distributed in the areas of polluted sites and soils, Due Diligence audit, EHS (Environment, Health, Safety), international impact studies, air quality, climate change and industrial risk.
The Ramboll France Compliance, Strategy & Transaction (CST) team is currently made up of 25 people. It supports the development projects of French and international companies through Due Diligence or regulatory compliance audits, the preparation of files for obtaining environmental permits, various HSE assistance services and expertise in industrial risks and modeling of dangerous phenomena.
As part of the proposed position, you will be able to collaborate and rely on all the expertise present in other teams within Ramboll in matters such as management of polluted sites and soils, air quality, energy and climate, biodiversity, noise, geotechnics or even architecture.
About you
Trained as an engineer or equivalent, you have at least 10 years of experience in the Data Center, industrial, energy and/or business consulting sectors. We are primarily looking for a candidate who already has significant experience in the data center sector.
