Role Summary

In order to support our development and meet the challenges of tomorrow for a better, safer and interconnected world, we are looking for Non-Destructive Testing Technicians certified COFREND CIFM and/or CCPM level 2 Ultrasound (UT) AND Penetrant Testing (PT) on a permanent basis to join our team. Several positions are to be filled in Le Creusot (Saône et Loire – 71). These positions are not subject to major travel.

Responsibilities

Within our Industries & Environment Business Unit, you will join a multidisciplinary team bringing together several specialists in NDT/END methods. You will be responsible for:

Carry out non-destructive tests by ultrasound and penetrant testing in compliance with applicable procedures, standards, codes and specifications: CIFM (welding) or CCPM (steel making/forged products)

  • Interpret the results and write the PV and RI
  • Validate product conformity
  • Write instruction sheets
  • Guarantee compliance with expected safety and quality instructions

Requirements

🎯 Profile sought and prerequisites

  • Man/woman in the field, you are passionate about your field. You are autonomous, rigorous and committed to customer satisfaction.
  • Baccalaureate to Bac+2/3 type training in metrology, physical measurements, materials and/or non-destructive testing as well as any other technical and scientific training.

Specialty: Q4 Quality Products, Projects, Service

  • You must have both COFREND CIFM and/or CCPM level 2 certification(s) in ultrasound and penetrant testing.
  • You ideally hold SCN1/SCN2 – CSQ – RP1 nuclear authorizations.
  • Fluency in English would be an asset to your application.
  • Initial experience (1 to 5 years) in the implementation of automated NDT, particularly in the nuclear sector, would be a real asset.
  • You know how to read plans and find your way in space.
  • You are recognized for your interpersonal and writing skills.
  • Possibility of working nights, shifts (2x8 or 3x8), weekends and public holidays.
  • The B license is mandatory.
  • Position to be filled locally not giving entitlement to calendar allowances for major travel.
  • Position to be filled as part of a permanent construction contract for an expected duration of 18 months.
