Laboratory assistant - Itapetininga SP

Role Summary

Support laboratory workers in carrying out tests and daily laboratory activities. Perform support activities, such as cleaning and organizing equipment and materials. Assist in preparing samples for analysis. Transport samples and supplies between sectors and laboratories, if necessary. Monitor stock of

materials for daily use, informing the need for replacement.

Assist with “on-site” collection and receipt of own or third-party samples. Assist in the preparation of samples, raw materials, solutions, reagents and others to be used in procedures, according to guidelines.

Perform the assembly and disassembly of simple laboratory equipment under

due training and guidance. Transport, prepare and clean instruments and appliances, as well as utensils, sinks,

benches and others, following defined procedures.

• Assist in carrying out tests, performing separation, weighing, mixing and filtering
• of materials under guidance. Assist in recording and archiving test results,
• experiments and others, as directed, including support for typing and editing

Reports when requested and under guidance.

Control the stock of glassware and consumables necessary for operation

laboratory, as per guidance. Participate in training program when called upon.

Assist in the storage, conservation and maintenance of laboratory equipment,

carrying out control of equipment calibrations and measurements.

Contribute to the correct management of waste in your workplace, as per

knowledge of environmental aspects and impacts related to its activity and

according to the standard established by the unit.

Comply with internal regulations, QSSMA standards and procedures, as well as compliance requirements, observation and compliance with regulations relating to the company and carry out other activities inherent to the position or at the discretion of your immediate superior, as long as qualified and in accordance with your knowledge and experience.

Comply with and enforce company standards and procedures in relation to its activity, the quality of service provision, care for the environment, road safety, occupational health and safety, including emergencies, as well as the consequences of non-compliance.
