Role Summary

Excellence in Logistics and Freight

Monitor transportation markets, freight rates, capacity availability and industry trends.

Lead regional transport tenders (tenders) and sourcing initiatives, mainly for Sea Freight.

Develop and implement standardized processes, policies and governance for transportation across the Americas region.

Provide market intelligence and periodic management reports, with recommendations for risk mitigation and cost optimization.

Identify and implement opportunities to improve transportation efficiency, service levels and total logistics costs.

Transport Management

Lead complete RFP (Request for Proposal) processes and transportation sourcing projects in multiple countries.

Develop contracting strategies, bid packages, lane structures and award recommendations.

Negotiate commercial contracts, freight rates and service level agreements (SLAs) with carriers and logistics operators.

Develop and manage a high-performance carrier network to support business requirements and growth.

Monitor carrier performance through defined KPIs and take corrective actions when necessary.

Transport Systems and Analytics

Support the implementation and continuous improvement of Transport Management Systems (TMS) and transport digitalization initiatives.

Maintain regional freight tables, transportation master data and reporting standards.

Develop dashboards and performance analyzes to support data-based decision making.

Support budgeting, forecasting and monitoring activities for freight savings.

Requirements

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or related areas.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in transportation purchasing, logistics, or supply chain management.
  • Solid experience in managing multinational transport RFPs and negotiations with carriers.
  • Deep knowledge of the Sea Freight market and transport networks in the Americas.
  • Experience with Transport Management Systems (TMS), freight analysis and cost optimization.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in working effectively in matrix and regional organizations.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is mandatory; Portuguese is desirable.
  • Availability to travel throughout the Americas region as needed.
