As a Python Backend Developer Specialist I, you will be part of the Platform and Services Tribe (in the Direct Selling chain) and work directly in the central hub that provides data, integrations and authentication for our entire ecosystem. Its main objective will be to lead the technical modernization of our architecture, working on decoupling domains from our legacy system (monolith) to a modern and scalable microservices architecture in Python (Medmax). Challenges such as migrating critical systems, decoupling domains, implementing asynchronous messaging, LGPD governance and the intensive use of artificial intelligence in everyday life are part of the context of this position.

Modernization and Decoupling: Lead and execute the strategy of extracting critical domains from the legacy monolithic system, rebuilding them into a scalable and decoupled microservices architecture in Python (Medmax);

Sustainability and Cloud: Architect and maintain solutions in the cloud (AWS), focusing on resilience, high availability and mature management of infrastructure cost efficiency;

Strategic and Advanced Use of AI: Mandatory and mature use of Artificial Intelligence tools (such as Cursor and GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development, optimize code and boost team productivity;

Engineering and Quality Culture: Ensure test coverage (unit, integration and E2E), rigorous technical documentation (RFCs, ADRs, System Design and BPMN) and complete observability of applications;

Autonomy and Technical Leadership: Navigate independently between different areas and squads, defining integration contracts and driving architectural decisions without the need for micromanagement.

As a Python Backend Developer Specialist I, you will work on the Direct Selling Platform and Services team, being a reference in backend architecture, quality and system evolution:

• Design, develop and evolve resilient and high-performance microservices using Python;
• Work on decoupling and migrating business rules from the monolith (.Net) to the new Python platform (Medmax);
• Ensure the correct asynchronous integration of systems via messaging (Kafka and RabbitMQ) and RESTful APIs;
• Apply and promote rigorous software quality practices through unit testing, integration testing and cross-testing (in-depth code review);
• Implement observability and application monitoring mechanisms using APM (New Relic) and frameworks such as OpenTelemetry;
• Prepare structured technical documentation, including RFCs, ADRs, System Design diagrams and BPMN flows;
• Lead root cause analyzes (troubleshooting) and conduct post-mortems in times of specific incidents;

Actively use AI tools to accelerate the delivery cycle and share prompts, agents and best practices with the team.

• Solid experience in Backend development with Python;
• Solid experience in designing and building architectures based on microservices and decoupling monolithic systems;
• Practical experience in AWS cloud environments (or other clouds such as Azure);
• Mastery of event-driven and messaging architectures (Kafka and/or RabbitMQ) and creation of RESTful APIs;
• Practical experience with Artificial Intelligence tools to support development (Cursor, GitHub Copilot);
• Strong vision of code quality (unit/integrated test coverage) and documentation culture (RFCs, ADRs, System Design);
• Knowledge and application of observability and APM tools (New Relic, OpenTelemetry, Datadog or similar);

High autonomy, self-management capacity and proactivity to move between areas and align technical contracts.

Requirements

It will be a plus if you have

• Knowledge or previous experience in .Net / C# (to facilitate reading and understanding of the legacy system during decoupling);
• Knowledge of security guidelines, LGPD and anonymization of registration data;
• Experience in large-scale projects with a focus on cost efficiency in the cloud.
