Responsibilities

Mission of the role

• You will work closely with our Head of Growth Konrad and our CEO Julius and take on a central role in building our AI-enabled growth set-up.
• Your goal: Support our project managers in implementation, further develop internal processes and enable data-based decisions. You will develop a deep understanding of energy projects, operations and business structure.
• Process analysis & prioritization
• You screen existing processes together with the teams (including Sales, Partnerships, CEO Office) and identify where manual work costs the most time
• You evaluate automation potential based on effort vs. impact and derive a clear prioritization from this
• You record requirements and process logic in such a way that a solution can be built directly from them
• Technical implementation
• You analyze existing processes and identify complexity and optimization potential
• You help to structure decision-making processes and set up automations operationally
• You support the development of scalable technological structures, standards and templates for operational projects
• Process optimization & internal structures
• You further develop internal processes and tools (e.g. in Airtable) to increase operational efficiency and scalability
• You identify potential for improvement in existing processes and implement concrete optimizations, e.g.

using automation (Claude), in order to

• You take on cross-departmental special projects in the areas of organization, tooling and internal structures

Requirements

• You have already gained initial experience in consulting (Tier 1/Tier 2), high-growth start-ups (ideally operations or process optimization), or in project management in the form of internships
• You are currently studying business administration, business informatics or a comparable field and have a strong affinity for technology and AI
• You have already worked with AI tools such as Claude, Claude Code and ChatGPT etc. or are eager to learn the ropes quickly
• You think entrepreneurially, make informed decisions independently and set clear priorities with a view to impact, scalability and long-term business success
• You have a strong interest in start-ups, energy or real estate
• You are consciously not looking for a 9-to-5 job, but rather want to take on responsibility, build structures and actively shape growth in a fast-paced, founder-oriented environment
• You strive to become the best version of yourself and seek environments in which you can develop your full potential
• You are in Berlin (or ready to move) - our office is our home base
• You speak German and English fluently

About the Company

At VREY we build the EnergyOS for multi-family homes.

There are over 3.3 million apartment buildings in Germany - and they are the black hole of the energy transition. <1% solar penetration. <2% smart metering. Hardly any flexibility or intelligent energy management.

At the same time, regulation is forcing owners to make massive investments: solar is becoming mandatory, smart meters must be rolled out across the board in the next 5 years, heating and mobility are becoming electrified. From concrete gold, the apartment building becomes an active part of the decentralized energy infrastructure.

What is missing is an integrated system that makes this change economically and operationally manageable.

VREY combines certified metering point operation with its own software and, for the first time, enables owners to sell their self-generated solar power directly to their tenants - easily and without becoming an energy supplier themselves (§42b EnWG).

This turns regulatory pressure into a profitable and predictable opportunity:

• Double-digit returns and increased value for owners,
• ~20% electricity cost savings for tenants, and
• digital infrastructure for storage, heat pumps and flexibility.

We already manage a three-digit number of projects - including the largest property owners and housing associations - in all 16 federal states. This means that we are one of the leading providers in the market in a very short time.

As part of our seed financing, we raised €3.3 million from leading impact and energy VCs (including Rubio Impact Ventures, HTGF, Kopa Ventures). With the fresh capital, we are entering the next phase of growth and expanding our team in a targeted manner.
