Responsibilities

Mission of the role

You will work closely with our leadership team and take on a central role in building one of the most important levers for sustainable growth of our company: building a strong, scalable talent funnel.

Your goal: Identify the best talents, address them specifically and create an excellent candidate journey - you will enable us to fill key roles quickly, based on data and with high quality. You combine strategic sourcing, recruiting operations and process optimization with a direct influence on our growth.

• Strategic Sourcing & Talent Funnel Building
• You take ownership of the active identification, approach and acquisition of high-potential candidates via different channels
• You develop creative and data-based sourcing strategies to build a scalable and reliable talent funnel for current and future hiring needs
• You build sustainable talent pools, networks and candidate pipelines and continuously maintain them
• Candidate Journey & Recruiting Excellence
• You ensure a fast, professional and high-quality candidate experience across all touchpoints
• You carry out initial screenings and support the structured assessment of professional and cultural fit
• You work closely with leadership to accurately understand requirements and ensure a common understanding of relevant candidate profiles

Recruiting operations, data & process optimization

• You analyze existing recruiting processes and systematically identify points of friction along the hiring funnel
• You develop data-based improvements and test new approaches to sustainably increase quality, speed and conversion in recruiting
• You build simple, effective structures around reporting, talent tracking, funnel management and recruiting operations

Requirements

• Ideally, you have already gained initial practical experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, active sourcing, HR, venture development or in a fast-paced start-up environment
• You are currently studying business administration, psychology, human resources, entrepreneurship or a comparable relevant field
• You think entrepreneurially, make informed decisions independently and set clear priorities with a view to impact, scalability and long-term business success
• You have a strong interest in start-ups, energy or real estate
• You want to take responsibility, build structures and actively shape growth in a fast-paced, founder-friendly environment
• You strive to become the best version of yourself and seek environments in which you can develop your full potential
• You are in Berlin (or ready to move) - our office is our home base
• You speak German (at least C2) and English fluently

About the Company

At VREY we build the EnergyOS for multi-family homes.

There are over 3.3 million apartment buildings in Germany - and they are the black hole of the energy transition. <1% solar penetration. <2% smart metering. Hardly any flexibility or intelligent energy management.

At the same time, regulation is forcing owners to make massive investments: solar is becoming mandatory, smart meters must be rolled out across the board in the next 5 years, heating and mobility are becoming electrified. From concrete gold, the apartment building becomes an active part of the decentralized energy infrastructure.

What is missing is an integrated system that makes this change economically and operationally manageable.

VREY combines certified metering point operation with its own software and, for the first time, enables owners to sell their self-generated solar power directly to their tenants - easily and without becoming an energy supplier themselves (§42b EnWG).

This turns regulatory pressure into a profitable and predictable opportunity:

• Double-digit returns and increased value for owners,
• ~20% electricity cost savings for tenants, and
• digital infrastructure for storage, heat pumps and flexibility.

We already manage a three-digit number of projects - including the largest property owners and housing associations - in all 16 federal states. This means that we are one of the leading providers in the market in a very short time.

As part of our seed financing, we raised €3.3 million from leading impact and energy VCs (including Rubio Impact Ventures, HTGF, Kopa Ventures). With the fresh capital, we are entering the next phase of growth and expanding our team in a targeted manner.
