Responsibilities

  • Implementation of complex PACS installations in the post-sales area (client, server and storage systems for image archiving) and implementation of web viewer solutions for clinical image distribution
  • Installing and maintaining Kubernetes clusters for production and development environments
  • Updates to our PACS installations in the post-sales area (client, server and storage systems for image archiving) and web viewer solutions for clinical image distribution
  • Management and monitoring of containers, pods and Kubernetes resources
  • Training and advice for our customers in the D-A-CH area
  • Conception and implementation of interfaces with third-party systems (DICOM, HL7)
  • Collaboration with product development, product management, project management, sales and support
  • Occasional travel (Switzerland, Germany, Austria)

Requirements

  • Study of medical technology or (medical) computer science or training as an IT specialist with relevant professional experience, e.g. as a PACS administrator
  • Strong communication skills, confident demeanor and personal persuasiveness
  • Ability to work in a team as well as independence, analytical and structured way of working and service-oriented work
  • In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes (e.g. cluster setup, configuration, scaling) as well as experience with containers (Docker) and orchestration tools
  • Confident use of monitoring tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Good knowledge of common operating systems (Linux and Windows)
  • Ideally good IT knowledge (VMware, networks, MS SQL Server, Oracle, SQL)

Knowledge of communication standards and frameworks as well as workflows in radiology (DICOM, HL7, IHE) is desirable.

  • Basic knowledge in at least one of the following areas is an advantage: High-level programming languages (Java, C, C++, C#), advanced scripting (Bash, Perl)
  • Ideally experience in planning, implementing and supporting healthcare IT systems (KIS/RIS/PACS)
  • Good knowledge of spoken and written English
