As a Senior Business Analyst & Finance Manager, you will become an analytical sparring partner for the management. You translate financial and KPI data - provided via a modern data warehouse and a data scientist's dashboards - into clear, data-based decision templates for growth, pricing and profitability.

You act as a “CFO-light” business partner: not primarily in accounting, but as the person who derives concrete decisions from the numbers made visible. The focus is on SaaS-specific business analytics - in particular cohort analyzes (retention, LTV and payback per customer cohort) and product-led growth metrics - as well as on the pricing strategy and close collaboration with sales, marketing, product and customer success.

This is complemented by a lean level of BWA/cost controlling, banking and accounting quality assurance - but not the operational day-to-day business of accounting itself. Classic liquidity planning hardly plays a role: Due to the high proportion of annual payers, customers pay in advance, which eliminates typical cash-before-performance risks.

Responsibilities

• Close collaboration with the data scientist: Translation of the provided dashboards and database (data warehouse, CRM as a single source of truth) into concrete recommendations for action for management.
• Analysis & Reporting: Regular KPI reporting to management as well as setting up and maintaining cohort analyzes and sales forecasts on a PLG basis (no liquidity planning, as largely irrelevant due to annual payers).
• SaaS-specific financial management: development and updating of pricing models, reporting on price changes and monitoring the competitive situation.
• Monthly cost screening & BWA preparation: Detailed analysis of cost items and proactive identification of optimization opportunities.
• Stakeholder management: Close collaboration with Sales (commission calculations in CRM), Marketing (tracking & budget approvals), Product (product metrics) and Customer Success (churn analysis).
• Accounting & controlling optimization: Close communication with the accounting team, process optimization and checking of booked positions.
• Coordination of banks & insurance companies: Management of multiple bank accounts and regular checking of investments (call money, insurance policies, etc.).

Requirements

• 2–5 years of professional experience in business analytics, FP&A, finance or controlling
• Proven experience in deriving concrete business recommendations from raw data and dashboards (Business Analyst or FP&A background an advantage)
• Understanding of SaaS KPIs, recurring revenue models and SaaS cost structures
• Experience with cost/BWA controlling and financial forecasting
• Confident handling of KPIs, reporting and data-based recommendations
• Fluent English for possible internationalization

Advantage

• Understanding of Product Led Growth models and their metrics
