Role Summary

Missions You report hierarchically to the Product Manager

Responsibilities

• Understand precisely the customer's needs and expectations
• Analyze the specifications provided
• Define several packaging concepts that can meet the customer's request and trace them on CAD (ArtiosCAD)
• Propose as many packaging concepts as possible in line with the group’s product strategy
• Calculate the performance requirement necessary for each study using computer tools

Size packaging proposals with the right quantity of material in relation to the need calculated using the RCV press and IT tools developed in-house.

• Research and propose optimizations on existing packaging
• Check the technical feasibility for each study carried out
• Calculate tooling costs for each study carried out
• Prepare the technical files necessary for establishing quotes
• Manage graphic elements
• Prepare samples
• Your secondary missions

Determine the overall costs (materials, supply chain, labor, etc.) for each solution and simulate the potential savings that the proposed solutions can bring using IT tools developed internally

• Build marketing presentations consistent with the group's vision
• Present and technically argue the proposed solutions (Artios 3D, Powerpoint)
• Co-develop packaging solutions directly with the customer during specific sessions at the PackRight Center

Requirements

Your assets

• You have at least 2 years of experience in the packaging sector which has allowed you to develop knowledge of the corrugated cardboard manufacturing process.
• You have training in a packaging school, or DUT engineering Packaging and packaging
• ,DUT mechanical engineering,DUT materials engineering.
• You master classic IT tools (Word, Excel) and have knowledge of ERP, ideally trained in 3D CAD on ArtiosCad. Or on software such as Catia, Autocad, SolidWorks
• You are recognized for your qualities of interpersonal skills, analysis and team spirit.

The Nantes recruitment firm is looking for a permanent Packaging Designer M/F.

This position is based south of Nantes.

Our client works on the design of cardboard packaging, mainly for manufacturers in the Western region, specializing in food products.
