Data Engineer Talend / PostgreSQL – Défense & Sécurité – Île-de-France

Role Summary

You will join the teams working on the ODIN program, a strategic project of the Ministry of the Armed Forces aimed at modernizing the maintenance of the French Navy fleet.

This program aims to replace the current maintenance management system which has become obsolete with a modern, centralized and data-oriented platform. A true digital base for naval maintenance, ODIN will centralize technical data, monitor maintenance operations, optimize logistical flows and prepare for future uses of artificial intelligence.

In a context of major transformation, you participate in the implementation of the program's data base according to a "Data First" approach, where quality, governance and valorization of data constitute central issues.

Your role and missions

• You develop the data lake and data warehouse supply pipelines;
• You design and industrialize the integration flows between ODIN modules and third-party systems;
• You develop data exposure APIs and batch processing;
• You implement technical control and data propagation mechanisms;
• You participate in the integration of industrial and technical data;
• You contribute to the quality, consistency and reliability of data throughout its life cycle;
• You participate in work related to governance and data valorization;

You support the project teams in the evolution of the data base.

Requirements

• You have a minimum experience of 8 years in Data Engineering and a diploma from an engineering school or university equivalent
• You master Talend Data Management tools as well as the development of data pipelines.
• You have strong skills in SQL and PostgreSQL.
• You have experience implementing batch processing, APIs and data integration flows.
• You are aware of the issues of data quality, flow control and data governance.
• Knowledge of a Medallion architecture, Data Quality Management (DQM) issues or Defense environments is an asset.
