Role Summary

The Sopra Steria Data Center of Excellence (DCoE), a cross-functional entity in the France division, is at the heart of our clients’ Data/AI support and transformation.

Convinced that Data is the driving force behind a scalable and sustainable industrial base built to meet business challenges, we work across the entire chain to bring value to our clients at all levels (business, IT, CxO, etc.) in conjunction with our consulting and delivery teams.

The DCOE brings together technological and methodological expertise across the entire Data value chain: from transformation strategy, to the implementation of daily use of AI, including governance and Data Cloud and on-premise architectures.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implementation of data ingestions (real-time, asynchronous, intermediation tool)
  • Implementation of transformations and data enhancement (SQL, Python, Java, Scala)
  • Knowledge of technical building blocks such as Datalake, Datawarehouse, MDM, other intermediation tools (ETL, ESB, API management, etc.)
  • Knowledge of methodology and tools around Devops in a Data context
  • Participation in customer design and consulting workshops

Framing/AVV, understand an RFP, build a technical response (functional, technical and software architecture) in order to support it in front of a technical/functional audience

Solid knowledge of on-premise and/or cloud infrastructure

Following your position, you will be required to supervise the development team and participate in the delivery of the solution.

Requirements

Profile sought

  • With a Bac+5 education (engineer from major schools or universities), you have at least three years of experience in a DATA Engineer position which has allowed you to acquire solid skills.
  • Do you have particular sensitivity to broader Data subjects (data quality, repositories, governance, business processes)? This will be a real asset in adapting to the different projects you will be in charge of.
  • Comfortable with public speaking, this will allow you to present and lead workshops and meetings around architectural solutions.
  • Finally, you have B2 level English necessary to address our customers abroad.

As an experienced Data Engineer, you will join our Data center of excellence, which will allow you to work with various clients in various sectors of activity (Banking, Insurance, Public Sector, Telecom, Media, Games, Industry and Services) throughout France. We support delivery teams during the prospecting, pre-sales and project implementation phases.

  • You will work primarily on data ingestion and transformation topics, while integrating the concepts of data governance, data catalog, repository management, data quality and AI industrialization.
  • We work in partnership with the market's leading publishers, as well as with Hyperscalers.
