Role Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical calculator (m/f/d) to join our market-leading traffic and civil engineering team in Haiger. In this role, you will be responsible for performing complex calculations and analyzes in support of a variety of transportation technology, engineering and civil engineering projects.

  • Preparation of offer calculations for projects in the areas of traffic technology, civil engineering and civil engineering
  • Coordination with work preparation, project management, engineering and other specialist areas
  • Evaluation of offers and familiarization with the calculation
  • Supporting subcontractor and supplier inquiries
  • Construction process planning with the project managers as early as the calculation phase
  • Creation of supplementary offers including their calculations
  • If necessary, participation in award and supplementary negotiations

Requirements

Completed studies in civil engineering (preferably special foundation engineering, cable engineering), traffic engineering or a related field, preferably in combination with industrial engineering or a comparable field

  • Ideally 3-5 years of professional experience in traffic engineering, civil engineering or civil engineering
  • Very good mathematical and analytical skills, a strong understanding of complex relationships, especially when working on several projects at the same time
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Convincing communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to work in a team
  • Knowledge of using calculation software, such as RIB iTWO Baseline / 4.0
  • Experience in construction operations, disrupted construction processes, construction site overhead cost presentation, addendum/claim management, VOB and contracting is desirable
  • Familiarization with the field of traffic engineering is ensured as part of the onboarding process
