About the Company

In short

At SGS we have a varied position available as Tender Specialist Aid Sector within our Government Mandates team. As a Tender Specialist in the Aid sector, you are responsible for identifying, coordinating and successfully submitting tenders for international development and aid projects, funded by organizations such as the EU, World Bank, UN and NGOs. You ensure high-quality proposals that match donor requirements and strategic goals of the organization.

SGS is the world leader in testing, inspections and certifications. For more than 145 years, we have combined the precision and accuracy that characterizes Swiss companies, helping organizations achieve the highest standards of quality, compliance and sustainability.

The Government Mandates unit is a small and specialized department that deals with development projects subsidized by donors, (inter)national institutions such as the United Nations, World Bank, European Union. You can think of projects that provide life-saving medicines to countries in Asia, Africa and South America. Our international experts check the progress of these projects around the world, whether finances are properly managed and there is sufficient stock in even the most remote locations. And whether tender documents for hospital equipment, for example, have been drawn up fairly and clearly. Our experts check whether prices of goods needed for international projects are acceptable according to the prices of that country. They help manufacturers how to adapt their products and procedures in order to export to the EU.

We obtained all these orders by putting together solid, competitive, no-nonsense, high-quality offers for a tender procedure. By providing good services and by keeping the relationship with clients and partners warm.
