Responsibilities

As Senior Associate – International Operations & Site Build-up, you will be a driving force behind one of our strategically important initiatives. You work directly with the management and take ownership of the development and further development of our operations hub in Cairo - from strategic conception to operational implementation (e.g. PMO for our development initiatives, design of the operating model for new functions, process optimization together with the on-site teams). You will build the bridge between our teams in Germany and Egypt - with direct access to management, a steep learning curve and real creative freedom from day one.

• Ramp-up planning You develop detailed plans for building new teams and functions in Cairo - including knowledge building and resource planning.
• Operating Model & Process Design You design the operating model for the new functions, check workflows for efficiency and scalability and optimize the processes together with the team.
• PMO & Program Governance You build the PMO framework for our development initiatives, manage timelines and create transparency for management at both locations.
• Financial Tracking You track economic development against the business case and make the results transparent for management.
• Continuous improvement
• Cross-functional Collaboration You are an important interface between all internal areas in Germany and Cairo and pragmatically bring different perspectives together.

Requirements

• Relevant experience 2-4 years in top-tier consulting or a comparable role in setting up international locations (e.g. in a GCC, BPO or shared service center).
• Structured problem solving You bring structure to complex situations and translate unclear initial situations into pragmatic solutions - on paper and in everyday life.
• Business Case & Financial Acumen You feel confident in business cases, cost-benefit analyzes and KPI tracking and justify sound economic decisions.
• Personal responsibility & implementation strength You take responsibility for your workstreams and bring topics to the goal with a high degree of independence - hands-on, pragmatic, result-oriented.
• Intercultural communication skills Clear and appropriate to the target group - from working students to management, across location and cultural boundaries. German and English at C1+ level.
• Willingness to travel Approximately one week per month on site in Cairo, the rest of the time from our office in Berlin.
