Job Overview
Job description
- Location:
- Berlin HQ, Germany
- Work arrangement:
- On-site
Role Summary
- Marketing Associate – Special Projects & Events
- Permanent position · Full-time · Berlin (HQ)
- Our mission for you
You build the channel through which trawa meets small and medium-sized industrial companies: more than 30 trade fairs, congresses and roundtables per year, from the five-day leading trade fair to the specialist congress on six square meters. You decide which of these take place, carry them out and are responsible for the result.
It doesn't stop at the stand. You build the landing page, advertise the events in paid and content and write the LinkedIn post for the trade fair week. In a short time you will know the entire path from the stand space to the opportunity in the CRM - a breadth that a large marketing team cannot offer you.
Europe's B2B sector spends over 200 billion euros on energy every year. The time to decarbonize this market and increase our brand awareness is now.
Your first 90 days
After six weeks: onboarding
You have understood Trawa's business model, product and target group in detail and got to know all relevant stakeholders in marketing and sales.
You have taken over the ongoing event portfolio, know every open item and every deadline and have documented the processes.
You were on site at all the trade fairs that took place during this time and identified specific improvements and took on initial responsibility.
In the third month: ramp-up
You are responsible for your own key results in the new planning cycle and are measured by the results achieved.
You have drawn up the planning for the coming half-year, calculated every event and presented a decision proposal.
A reusable flow is in place: Lead, Activate, Lead Capture, Follow Up — understandable enough that someone else could do it.
Responsibilities
- You own the event calendar. Which trade fair, which format, which budget. You plan the year, calculate every event and cancel if the number isn't right.
- You build the performance. Stand space, stand construction, graphics, technology, logistics. You negotiate with trade fair companies and service providers, meet deadlines and stand at the stand yourself.
- You make appointments out of idle days. Invitation campaigns, participant lists, matchmaking, scheduling appointments in advance. Afterwards: lead capture, follow-up and handover to sales according to a clear SLA.
- You measure your own work. You build landing pages, forms, HubSpot workflows, lead tagging and reporting yourself - and report MQLs, pipeline and signings for each event against plan.
- You don't stay at events. This includes newsletters, LinkedIn, PR and our own formats, right up to guerrilla experiments such as letter campaigns or OOH. We repeat what works.
- Who we are looking for
- One to four years of B2B marketing with a focus on events or trade fairs, preferably with a connection to German medium-sized businesses
- You are an extrovert: When you are standing, you approach people instead of waiting for someone to stop. Many conversations a day give you energy
- You keep an overview when a dozen service providers and several trade fairs are running at the same time - and escalate in a timely manner
- You think commercially and evaluate an event based on what it brings to the pipeline
- You build your own landing page, form and reporting
- Bias to action: it is better to test and measure quickly than to design for a long time
- Native German speaker, good English
- Berlin or moving there, plus willingness to travel during the trade fair season and a driving license
About the Company
Content, growth and product marketing sit next to you - events are the channel where all three come together.
At the same time, you're closer to sales than most marketing roles. At every trade fair, sellers are at the stand, and the value of an event only arises when conversations turn into appointments. You constantly coordinate with sales, SDRs and revenue operations.
Shape the future of the energy industry with us and drive forward projects that have a real impact on our products, our customers and the environment.
Your impact: Every trade fair brings us together with companies whose energy costs we reduce and whose consumption we decarbonize.
Creative scope: Event marketing at trawa is under construction. You don't inherit ready-made structures, you establish them.
Flexible working: A beautiful office in Berlin with a lively corporate culture awaits you. Home office and flexible working hours are possible, 30 days of vacation support your work-life balance.
Attractive benefits: In addition to a competitive salary, you will receive meal vouchers, an Urban Sports membership, plenty of free snacks and a personal training budget.
Personal development: training days, an annual L&D budget and coaching sessions via Sparrks.
Diversity and Inclusion: Everyone is welcome here. We are committed to an inclusive workplace that values diversity and encourage people to apply regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, ethnic and social background, physical or neurodiverse diversity.
If you think strategically, are operationally strong and enjoy taking on responsibility, then apply now! Even if you don't meet all the requirements 100%: We are open to personalities with potential and passion.
Welcome to the trawa universe! Our mission is to build the green utility of the future from the ground up. How do we do that? We create direct access to renewable energy for B2B industrial companies. We develop software and technology to manage the volatility of the energy market. We professionalize energy procurement on the buyer’s side.
