Role Summary
As a Continuous Improvement Engineer intern, you are based at the Eurofins Eichrom Amiante Laboratory in Bruz (directly near Rennes) and will report to the Continuous Improvement Project Engineer stationed within the laboratory.
You will be required to manage various projects to participate in the development of the activity (industrialization, cost optimization and continuous improvement). For this, you have a very operational and field approach but also a strategic vision to be a source of proposals for operational teams.
Implement Lean approaches
- animation of working groups,
- problem solving,
- animation of the performance,
deployment of Lean tools (5S, visual management, improvement projects, etc.).
Analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement, optimize costs and improve operational efficiency.
Propose and implement ergonomic adjustments to improve working conditions and job performance.
Develop and deploy digitalization and automation tools, identifying relevant opportunities for the laboratory.
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, ensuring the availability and reliability of equipment.

Responsibilities
You will therefore be required to
- Respect and enforce HSE and Quality rules, guaranteeing a safe working environment that complies with regulatory requirements.
- Lead improvement projects within the laboratory, including development, infrastructure and modernization projects, ensuring coordination with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Be the preferred contact for the technical unit of the Business Line, in order to ensure the consistency of technical actions and the proper flow of information.
Requirements
- You are currently studying at an engineering school, with a specialty in industrial engineering, process engineering, industrial maintenance, and you are looking for an internship of 4 to 6 months starting in September.
- You are familiar with continuous improvement, problem solving and Lean management methodologies (5S, VSM, Kaizen, etc.).
- Your team spirit, your pragmatism, your sense of commitment and your curiosity allow you to instill constant dynamism in the pursuit of your projects.
- You are proactive and like to look for solutions on your own.
- Versatile and “jack of all trades”, you like to move from one subject to another.
- Ideally, you have an appetite for technical subjects (first-level maintenance, manual work, DIY, etc.).
