Role Summary

As a Senior Manager Systems Engineering in plant engineering, you will take on the central technical coordination of complex industrial plants and combine system responsibility, interdisciplinary collaboration and direct on-site deployment during assembly and commissioning of exciting projects throughout Germany. - Location: flexible – anywhere in Germany at a Drees & Sommer location of your choice
- Assuming system responsibility for complex industrial plant construction projects over the entire life cycle - from the initial concept to final commissioning
- Professional leadership and control of international, interdisciplinary teams in the areas of study, basic and detail engineering
- Create, review and share technical specifications, process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams (PFD/P&ID) and other technical system requirements
- Coordination of the interfaces between the civil, steel construction, EMSR, process, pipeline construction and automation trades
Support for assembly, testing, factory acceptance tests, site acceptance tests (FAT/SAT) as well as commissioning on site at the respective project construction sites
Clarification of other technical issues with partners and suppliers
Requirements
- Completed studies in process engineering, supply engineering, electrical engineering or comparable qualification, ideally in the field of process engineering, mechanics, EMSR or automation
- Several years of experience in plant engineering (greenfield/brownfield), preferably in the chemical, steel, cement, energy or waste to energy sectors
- Experience in commissioning, troubleshooting and technical acceptance of complex industrial plants as well as in leading international engineering teams
- Confidence in dealing with PFD/P&ID, technical specifications, system integration and plant safety, as well as good knowledge of relevant standards (ATEX, Machinery Directive)
- Experience with COMOS, SmartPlant, E3D or comparable tools, as well as initial experience in dealing with artificial intelligence
- Very good knowledge of German and English as well as a high willingness to travel
