Role Summary

Responsible for preventing accidents, occupational diseases and environmental risks, ensuring that the company's activities are carried out in accordance with health, safety and environmental standards. The professional acts in a proactive and educational manner, guiding employees and leaders to create a safe, healthy, legally adequate and productive work environment;

Prepare spreadsheets with information on occupational accident statistics, forwarding to supervisory and sustainability control bodies.

  • Define and supervise the use of personal protective equipment and collective protective equipment by employees. Analysis of demands by
  • of supervisory bodies and other public bodies to comply with the sending of data in accordance with the standard;
  • Monitor and prepare spreadsheets with information on QSSMA irregularities found in field inspections, based on field inspections and
  • photographic records, forwarding to the immediate manager and subsequently to the manager of the respective area;

Insert and maintain updated information in the specific operating system database, such as registrations, CAT, PPRA (PPP), fire extinguisher control, EPIs/EPCs, fire brigades, CIPA, forms and reports, following standards established by supervisory bodies;

Control the maintenance of fire fighting devices (extinguishers, fire hydrants, alarms, etc.) made available in the company, following

standards established in specific standards;

Prepare the PPRA document - Environmental Risk Prevention Program annually, as well as carry out measurements with specific devices, informing the risks that employees are exposed to, presenting solutions to mitigate/eliminate them, following standards established in specific standards;

Strictly comply with internal Quality, Safety, Health, Environment and Compliance (QSSMA) standards, in addition to ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements applicable to the company;

Support the areas in the investigation of accidents, as well as monitor scheduled judicial examinations, as requested by the Legal area, following legal guidelines and legal requirements;

Monitor the companies contracted in the field of works (maintenance/conservation, surveillance, cafeteria, etc.) that are being carried out by outsourced companies, checking the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), collective protective equipment (EPC), and the implementation of collective safety devices, as well as evaluating the impact of the work on the environment.

Requirements

  • Complete high school;
  • Occupational Safety Technician;
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in the position;
  • Active registration with the MTE;
  • Experience in infrastructure works, with a focus on highways;
  • Knowledge of safety legislation and applicable regulatory standards;
  • Intermediate Office package;
