Manager Environment, Health & Safety (w/m/d) EPCM Industry – Semiconductor Fabrication Plant

To monitor and ensure the guidelines in the area of EHS/HSSE for a demanding, highly complex industrial project in the semiconductor industry, we are looking for an experienced and committed individual whose expertise and reliability are beyond any doubt.

Contractual home location: flexible – at a Drees & Sommer location of your choice throughout Germany

Place of work: in an EU bordering country west of Germany (100% willingness to travel required)

Independent responsibility for occupational safety on a highly complex industrial plant project in the area of semiconductor manufacturing/semiconductor manufacturing

• Implementation and monitoring of EHS/HSSE policies in accordance with applicable standards and understanding of international standards
• Independent identification and management of risks in the areas of environment, health and safety
• Responsible for setting up EHS/HSSE management systems within the project according to specifications and specific customer requirements
• Support for training and programs to raise awareness among employees internally and externally as well as for companies in the project
• Regular monitoring and preparation of internal and external EHS/HSSE performance and promotion of measures to continuously improve EHS/HSSE performance
• Collaborate with authorities, suppliers and internal stakeholders to achieve EHS/HSSE goals

Requirements

• Completed training as a technician or master craftsman in construction or technical building equipment - alternatively a comparable qualification in the area of occupational safety, such as an occupational safety specialist or safety and health protection coordinator
• Several years of project experience, at least 3-5 years, on construction sites in large-scale plant construction, life sciences, the chemical industry or power plant technology as well as knowledge of the EPC/EPCM processing model
• Experience in developing Hazid/Hazop analyzes and conducting workshops is desirable
• Experience in leading and controlling internal and external teams, combined with strong assertiveness, a strong sense of communication, motivation and efficient collaboration
• Fluent written and spoken German and English skills, and knowledge of Flemish or French are very advantageous
• Unrestricted project-related travel within Germany and Europe
