Role Summary
Do you have initial knowledge of construction contract law and would you like to further expand this in the context of complex EPCM construction projects? Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Management (EPCM) – that is our mission. As a junior contract manager, you will support our team with contract-related issues at the interface between planning, service description and construction. You will be involved in contract and supplementary management and work closely with clients, project participants and construction companies.
This position can be filled full-time or part-time (at least 24 hours per week). Please indicate the desired number of hours when you apply.
- Support in the processing of VOB contracts in complex EPCM construction projects, including initial responsibility for clearly defined contract packages
- Participate in the assessment of additional remuneration claims for changed or additional services (VOB / BGB) in close coordination with property monitoring
- Writing supplementary audit reports, award recommendations and statements under the guidance of experienced contract managers
- Processing and preparation of contract-relevant correspondence
- Accompanying supplementary negotiations with construction companies
- Participate in rule meetings, process control and reporting on contract-relevant issues
Requirements
- Completed studies in civil engineering, industrial engineering, architecture or a comparable field
- One to three years of professional experience in a practical construction environment related to contract and/or supplementary management
- Initial knowledge of construction contract law, especially VOB and BGB
- Confident use of MS Office and ideally initial knowledge of MS Project
- High willingness to learn, team orientation and strong interest in interdisciplinary collaboration
