ITO CONTROL AND PROTECTIONS

Role Summary

Supervise and control control, protection, automation and telecommunications work associated with electrical substations.

Review the correct execution of assembly, connection and wiring of control panels, protection, auxiliary services and associated equipment.

Verify the installation and connection of protection relays, meters, RTU, IED, PLC and control systems.

Review plans, single-line diagrams, schematic, logical, control and wiring diagrams.

Inspect and validate continuity, insulation, polarity, secondary injection and functional tests of protection systems.

Supervise testing of signals, alarms, interlocks, commands and trips between yard equipment and control systems.

Verify the correct integration of control and protection systems with SCADA and supervision systems.

Review test protocols and commissioning records, ensuring their correct execution and documentation.

Raise observations and follow up on the closure of non-conformities and pending work.

Participate in technical meetings and coordination with contractors, specialists and client representatives.

Review and validate As-Built documentation, protocols, plans and quality dossiers corresponding to the specialty.

Report progress, deviations and conditions that may affect the quality, deadline or commissioning of the project.

Requirements

• Electrical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Electrical Technician or related career.
• Experience in high and medium voltage electrical substations.
• Experience in Control and Protection systems.
• Knowledge of protection relays, IED, RTU, PLC, SCADA and automation systems.
• Experience in reviewing electrical plans and control schemes.
• Management of testing and commissioning protocols.
• Ability to work in coordination with construction, engineering, quality and client teams.
• Experience in electrical transmission projects and substations 110 kV, 220 kV or higher.
