Role Summary

Your mission alternates between the different outpatient consultations of the SMPR, including the Outpatient Emergency Unit.

You guarantee quality medical services, both clinically, administratively and organizationally.

Requirements

• You hold a medical diploma or have training deemed equivalent by the Medical Professions Commission (MEBEKO).
• Your excellent communication skills allow you to interact within a multidisciplinary team and with patients. You are an autonomous, flexible person and demonstrate commitment.
• Clinical experience within the Geneva hospital and/or outpatient network is desired.
• Two years of training in a Swiss hospital internal medicine department of category A or B or written guarantee of having obtained such a position are required.
• For non-French speakers, French level C1 in the spoken and written test is required.

The position is attached to the Department of Community and Primary Care Medicine (DMCPR). This department combines a societal mission whose aim is to provide access to care for all and an academic mission whose aim is to carry out pre- and post-graduate teaching and research in primary care medicine.

The Primary Care Medicine Service (SMPR) provides outpatient care for adult primary care medicine patients. This service also offers outpatient emergency medicine services to the population. As part of the HUG's missions of general interest, it offers access to care for populations disadvantaged by their age, their social, economic, legal status (asylum seeker, non-entry, illegal, prisoner), or their lifestyle; if necessary, the Primary Care Medicine Service also ensures continuity of their care.

Within our department, and in particular outpatient emergencies, interns benefit from the opportunity to train in POCUS (Point-of-Care Ultrasound) component 1 and the AFC abdominal module as part of their curriculum. This training is provided by two accredited managers, guaranteeing quality learning and practical handling of clinical ultrasound.
