Role Summary

You participate in the operational medical management of the Emergency Department in the intra- and extra-hospital areas (SMUR).

You will join a collegial team to ensure, in close collaboration with your superiors, the management of a care unit and the coordination of the clinical activities entrusted to you. In this capacity, you are responsible, under supervision, for medical procedures by establishing a balance between the work required and the possibilities of the team's doctors. You transmit medical decisions and all necessary information in a timely manner to doctors, the healthcare team and the partners concerned.

In your activity, you provide information to patients and relatives in a simple manner within the limits of professional secrecy.

You prepare and process the medical file and work in close collaboration with the medical secretariat for its regular updating and closing. You record the services performed in order to generate invoicing.

You actively participate in the training and supervision activities of the department's internal doctors, in development and research activities as well as in the development of emergency medicine.

Requirements

  • You hold a federal medical diploma or have training deemed equivalent by the Medical Professions Commission of the Federal Office of Public Health (MEBEKO).
  • Furthermore, you are also ideally in possession of a specialty title in general internal medicine, surgery or anesthesiology, or a title deemed equivalent recognized by the OFSP (MEBEKO).
  • The specialty certificate or a university degree in emergency medicine acquired or in the process of being obtained is an asset.
  • You will benefit from solid clinical experience in a university-type emergency department with a high volume of activity and a strong interest in acute medicine.
  • You have ease in communication, an open mind, good listening skills and a spirit of synthesis. You are dynamic, flexible, enthusiastic and demonstrate discretion and tenacity.
  • For non-French speakers, certified C1 French level is required.
