Role Summary

Your commitment is part of a comprehensive five-year pediatric training course, including one or two years in one of our partner hospitals (Tour Hospital, Friborg Hospital, Sion Hospital, Riviera-Chablais Hospital, Neuchâtel Hospital, Nyon Hospital).

It is also possible for you to commit only for three years, in order to obtain validation of the years in an A center.

  • You progress through a training course according to a predetermined plan in the sectors below:
  • Inpatient units
  • Pediatric emergencies
  • Pediatric intensive care
  • Neonatology
  • Maternity and developmental consultation

Pediatric specialties and certain partner entities (adolescent medicine, allergology, cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology & hepatology, infectious diseases, nephrology, neurology, onco-hematology, ENT, orthopedics, pulmonology, rheumatology, Médecins sans frontières)

Under the supervision of the medical hierarchy, you carry out the practical and therapeutic activities entrusted to you and you engage in post-graduate training in pediatrics according to the ISFM program.

You must work in a multidisciplinary team and contribute to teaching and supervision linked to a university structure.

At the end of your training, you are ready to take the FMH pediatrics exam and have completed all FMH requirements for the pediatrics specialty title.

Requirements

  • You hold a federal medical diploma or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Federal Commission for Medical Professions (MEBEKO).
  • For non-French-speaking candidates, certified level C1 in the spoken and written test is required.
