Role Summary

In your capacity as Assistant Physician in the Reproductive Medicine and Gynecological Endocrinology Unit, you work in an outpatient consultation activity in the following areas:

Reproductive medicine and fertility preservation,

Endocrinology gynecology and menopause,

Gynecological imaging (infertility assessments, specialized ultrasounds, diagnostic hysteroscopies).

Your mission is to organize, supervise and develop the diagnostic activity (ultrasound and hysteroscopy) of the unit, as well as to develop multidisciplinary collaborations (endometriosis center, collaboration with radiologists), teaching and research in the field.

You participate in pre-graduate and post-graduate teaching, as well as the unit's research projects.

You take part as guards of the department of gynecology and obstetrics and on reproductive medicine pickets.

Requirements

You hold a federal medical diploma or title deemed equivalent recognized by MEBEKO. You have an FMH title of in-depth training in reproductive medicine and gynecological endocrinology or have a title deemed equivalent recognized by MEBEKO as well as a thesis in medicine or you are in the process of obtaining the title soon.

  • You are in possession of the right to practice allowing you to practice in the canton of Geneva and you have a minimum level of French of C1.
  • You can count on your autonomy to manage complex reproductive medicine cases.
  • You have experience as a head of clinic of a minimum of 3 years in a reproductive medicine unit as well as in team management and management.
  • You have experience in pre-graduate teaching and clinical research.
  • You have significant expertise in gynecological imaging (specialized gynecological ultrasound, 3D/4D, hysterosonographies, hysterocontrastsonographies, diagnostic hysteroscopy).

Your knowledge and solid experience allow you to independently practice the following surgical procedures: operative hysteroscopies (polypectomy, myomectomy, treatment of synechia and uterine septum), diagnostic laparoscopies with chromoperturbation, simple cystectomies, salpingectomies, cesarean sections and instrumental extractions.

The service is made up of several specialized consultations. The medical oncogynecology, surgical oncogynecology and surgical senology units thus provide joint management of gynecological cancers and breast cancers.

The reproductive medicine and gynecological endocrinology unit organizes the management of issues related to reproduction, infertility and menopause.

The HUG reproductive medicine and gynecological endocrinology unit supports couples in a personalized and comprehensive manner around the desire for pregnancy.

In addition to medically assisted procreation techniques carried out in the unit itself, a half-day infertility assessment called Fertiday, psychological support and, if necessary, sexological care are also offered.

The gynecology department also provides training for gynecologist-obstetrician specialists, contributes to the training of medical students and participates in the continuing medical training of established doctors.

Thanks to its emphasis on research, the service offers women the best possible quality of care, in compliance with procedures established both at the federal and international level.
