Role Summary
You are joining an intrahospital care unit of the Crisis Intervention Beds (LIC) of the Liaison Psychiatry and Crisis Intervention Service. The mission of this unit is the hospital crisis management of patients presenting suicidal ideas or behavior. LICs offer a brief, specialized and evidence-based intervention (mentalization-based therapies, good clinical practices for borderline personality disorder).
As head of clinic, you actively participate in the psychiatric and psychotherapeutic monitoring of hospitalized patients, while ensuring the coordination of their care with network partners. You play a key role in supporting internal doctors, managing patient flows and interprofessional dynamics, particularly through carrying out medical-nursing interviews. You also benefit from regular clinical support thanks to supervision provided by an assistant doctor.
Requirements
- You hold a federal medical diploma or have training deemed equivalent by the Medical Professions Commission of the Federal Office of Public Health (MEBEKO).
- If you have a specialty title, you are in possession of the cantonal right to practice or are able to obtain it before taking up your duties.
- For non-French speakers, French level C1 in the spoken and written test is required.
- The FMH title in psychiatry and psychotherapy and/or experience in the field of psychiatry and in particular in emergency and crisis psychiatry are assets.

The Psychiatry Liaison and Crisis Intervention Service is responsible for the evaluation, guidance and monitoring of the interdisciplinary treatment of psychiatric disorders in patients who are hospitalized or followed as part of outpatient consultations on the various HUG sites. The service also has the mandate to welcome, care for and direct patients seeking emergency services at HUG.
