Role Summary
The radiology department is looking for an assistant physician or a clinical manager with a specialty title to assist the associate physician assistant, responsible for the pediatric radiology unit, for the coordination and development of clinical diagnostic and research activities in this area.
You supervise the consultation activity and interpretation of examinations of the pediatric radiology unit and ensure the responsibility and development of this unit.
You ensure the proper functioning of the unit in terms of quality and deadlines of services and supervision of employees.
You participate in on-call and on-call activities in pediatric radiology.
You guarantee a good interface with other units and sectors of the pediatrics and radiology department, as well as other clinical services at HUG.
You participate in pre/postgraduate and continuing education in radiology.
You monitor and contribute to the development of quality research within the unit in the field of pediatric radiology.
You contribute to the development of collaborative projects in the field of pediatric radiology with the radiology department, and other services in the diagnostic department and other HUG departments.
Requirements
You hold a federal medical diploma as well as an FMH specialist title in radiology or equivalent titles recognized in Switzerland. If your diploma comes from a foreign country, you have obtained recognition by the Medical Professions Commission of the Federal Office of Public Health (MEBEKO) and your diploma is entered in the Register of Medical Professions (MedReg).
- For the title of assistant doctor, you also have a doctoral thesis.
- You have a Geneva cantonal right to practice independently.
- You master the French language (spoken and written - C1 level) essential. For non-French-speaking applications, French level C1 in the spoken and written test is required.
- You have recognized clinical experience in the field of pediatric radiology and you can demonstrate skills in supervising a clinical team.
- You have leadership qualities allowing you to supervise interns and clinical managers and to support and motivate staff.

The Diagnostic Department, made up of eight medical services, has the mission of providing diagnostics, therapeutic products, therapeutic procedures, and specialized clinical consultations, of high medical quality, as quickly as possible and at an acceptable cost, to guide the care of patients and contribute to therapeutic decisions and procedures.
The main mission of the Radiology Department is to carry out diagnostic radiology examinations and therapeutic interventions under the guidance of different imaging techniques. This clinical activity includes approximately 220,000 examinations and 5,000 diagnostic and therapeutic procedures per year, a significant part of which is provided 24/7. The medical team of the Radiology Department also hosts more than 300 multidisciplinary conferences per month, on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
