Role Summary

MISSION

Founded in October 2024 by Lukas Zörner and Anil Can Baykal, Integral aims to redefine the way accounting, tax and payroll work for SMEs in Europe, starting with Germany. The company is supported by General Catalyst, Cherry Ventures, Puzzle Ventures and entrepreneurs from all over Europe.

The Founders' Office is the unit for the topics that the founders themselves set and for which there is no team yet. As a Founders' Associate, you take on part of this and lead it through to the result. In the end there is either a permanent team that will continue the topic or a well-founded decision to leave it alone. You report to the Head of Founders' Office and work directly with the founders.

3. Candidates looking for an assistant role. Calendars, minutes and additional work do not belong to this position.

1. You work on the issues that are decided at group level and sit in the room when the decision is made
2. Your projects have a result that can be read: a market that goes live or a P&L that didn't exist before

PROCESS

We are moving quickly. With the right person, the entire process takes less than two weeks.

Responsibilities

• You take over projects from the group agenda and lead them through to the results: new service lines, pricing architecture, group-wide changes to the operating model
• For new markets, you calculate the market size and entry costs, clarify the regulatory requirements and suggest the entry model, organic, through a partnership or through an acquisition
• The same for the adjacent professional services markets around accounting and taxes: analysis, partner selection, commercial negotiation
• You build the models and business cases on the basis of which the founders make decisions
• You keep track of what actually happens compared to the teams' commitments and address delays early and clearly
• Prepare partner and investor discussions, plus the topics that remain between the teams

Requirements

You don't have to bring all of it with you. The first three points are the hard ones.

• 1 to 3 years in strategy consulting, investment banking, private equity, venture capital or an operational role in a fast-growing company
• You familiarize yourself with unstructured questions and make decisions even when the data remains incomplete
• Business fluent German (C1+) and English (B2+). Our customers and partners are German-speaking.
• You build a financial model that someone else can read and check
• You work routinely with AI tools
• Experience in accounting, taxes, payroll or another regulated market is a clear plus - but not a must
• You work entirely on site in our Berlin office
