Role Summary

We as digital build are an innovative and future-oriented company as part of the Drees & Sommer Group and have specialized in the modularization and digitalization of individual building designs for over 25 years. Become part of our development team in Karlsruhe and actively shape the digitalization of planning and manufacturing processes.

As part of our development department, you will develop digital products for customers in the construction and manufacturing industries. This is not about classic individual programming, but rather about analyzing complex engineering processes and converting them into scalable software solutions.

You work directly with our customers' specialists, designers, product managers and technical managers and develop solutions that digitally map and automate real planning and manufacturing processes.

Analyzing and optimizing our customers' planning, design and manufacturing processes as well as recording and structuring technical requirements in close cooperation with specialist departments

• Developing technical target images, software architectures and designing configurators, planning tools and engineering systems
• Creating implementation plans and technical specifications as a basis for developing productive software solutions
• Implementing new solutions using modern software development and AI tools
• Accompanying the introduction of new systems from the initial idea to productive use
• Further develop your own platforms, plug-ins and cloud applications
• Collaborate with internal and external development teams and support the successful integration of new solutions

Requirements

• Completed studies in computer science, civil engineering, civil engineering, architecture or a comparable field
• Several years of experience at the interface between engineering and software development as well as a sound understanding of planning, design or manufacturing processes
• Very good knowledge of at least one modern programming language (e.g. C#, Python) as well as experience in using AI-supported development tools
• Understanding of software architectures, data models and system integration
• Knowledge of using CAD systems and CAD APIs (e.g. Revit, Rhino, Tekla, HiCAD, Inventor or comparable solutions)
• Ability to discuss technical problems with customers on an equal level, as well as interest in industrial product and manufacturing processes
• Independent, structured and analytical way of working, very good knowledge of German and occasional willingness to travel
