Role Summary

• Documentation and management of license agreements and inventories
• Support in the procurement of new software products
• Participation in external audits and carrying out internal license audits
• Carrying out license measurements and preparing license balances
• Advising management on legally compliant licensing of used software products
• Coordination of necessary measures in collaboration with specialist departments
• Mapping license metrics and supporting a professional SAM tool (e.g. Matrix42)
• Ensuring compliance with software licensing
• Review and evaluation of EULAs and general terms and conditions of software contracts

Requirements

• Completed studies in business informatics, computer science, business administration, business law or a comparable field
• Initial to several years of practical experience in the area of software license management, software contracts or IT asset management
• Basic understanding of software installations, software inventory and IT infrastructure
• Knowledge of using software asset management tools desirable
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft licensing models (e.g. M365, Azure, volume licensing) is an advantage
• Very good knowledge of German and good English (no business fluency required for the latter)
• Structured, goal-oriented and precise way of working
• Strong communication skills and solid negotiation skills
