Role Summary

Independent processing of demanding hydraulic engineering projects across all service phases of the HOAI, from feasibility studies and concepts to preliminary, draft and execution planning through to implementation.

Property planning of hydraulic engineering projects, especially in the areas of flood protection, water development, constructive hydraulic engineering and hydraulic engineering infrastructure.

Development of technically, economically and structurally viable solutions, taking into account structural, geotechnical, hydraulic and operational requirements.

Consideration of construction processes, construction conditions and boundary conditions for later implementation in early planning phases.

Preparation of technical reports, explanatory reports, approval documents as well as tender and award documents.

Technical coordination and control of interdisciplinary planning teams as well as bringing together contributions from surveying, geotechnics, technical equipment, environmental planning, structural planning and other specialist disciplines to form an integral overall planning.

Coordination with clients, authorities, experts and other project participants.

Participation in the construction management and support of the implementation to ensure a technically, economically and planningly successful implementation.

Perspective assumption of further technical responsibility within complex infrastructure projects.

Requirements

Successfully completed studies in civil engineering or a comparable field with a focus on structural engineering, hydraulic engineering or a comparable specialization. Several years of professional experience in property planning and processing demanding engineering or infrastructure projects across several HOAI service phases. Experience in hydraulic engineering is an advantage, but not essential. Applicants with experience in property planning for infrastructure, engineering or transport projects are also welcome. What is crucial is the ability to work on projects holistically and think through technical solutions right through to structural implementation.

Skills

In-depth knowledge of property planning for engineering and infrastructure projects. Experience in the technical coordination of interdisciplinary planning teams. Confident handling of MS Office applications. Knowledge of CAD applications, ideally AutoCAD. Experience with AVA applications, such as RIB iTWO, is an advantage. Very good knowledge of spoken and written German (at least level C1). Class B driving license desirable.
