We are looking for a Business Analyst to work together with the Product Owner of our Data Warehouse (DW) environment, playing a fundamental role in identifying, analyzing and documenting business needs related to data, analytics and platform evolution.

The professional will be responsible for collecting and detailing requirements, translating business demands into clear functional and technical specifications for the development teams. It will also work on decomposing demands into User Stories, defining acceptance criteria, mapping data and transformation rules, ensuring alignment between business areas and technical teams.

NOTE

No technical specialization in data engineering or solution architecture is required, but an understanding of the fundamental concepts related to data and analytics is expected to facilitate dialogue between the areas involved.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze and document business and data requirements.
• Work in partnership with the Product Owner in refining and prioritizing demands.
• Prepare functional and technical specifications for new features and improvements.
• Transform requirements into clear and objective User Stories, with defined acceptance criteria.
• Map data flows, business rules and transformations required for the analytical environment.
• Conduct refinement sessions with technical teams and stakeholders.
• Support the execution and validation of user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Ensure a common understanding of the demands between business, product and technology.
• Monitor the development of solutions, ensuring adherence to defined requirements.

Requirements

• Experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst or similar roles.
• Experience in gathering and managing business requirements.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Experience in preparing User Stories and acceptance criteria.
• Good communication and relationship skills with different stakeholders.
• Analytical and problem-solving profile.

Differences

• Experience in Data Warehouse, BI, Analytics or Data Engineering projects.
• Basic knowledge of data modeling.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT concepts.
• Experience in Cloud environments, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Knowledge of governance and data quality processes.
