Differentiators (Nice to Have)

Experience with modern Analysis Engineering tools, such as dbt, Databricks, Fabric or similar.

Knowledge in Data Lakehouse architecture, Delta Lake, bronze, silver and gold layers.

Experience with cloud environments, especially Azure, Data Lake Storage, Blob Storage and data pipelines.

Experience with SQL tuning, procedures, views, indexes and query optimization.

Knowledge of catalog, lineage, quality and data governance tools.

Notions of Python or PySpark to support analytical routines and data transformation.

Experience with multiple BI tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Qlik, Metabase or MicroStrategy.

Good communication to translate business needs into actionable models, metrics, dashboards and insights.

Responsibilities

Role responsibilities

  • Develop and evolve analytical data models and reports of low to medium complexity, following good practices and quality requirements.
  • Implement new data sources into existing analytics solutions.
  • Create, adjust and maintain measures in DAX, transformations in Power Query/M and semantic models in Power BI.
  • Build and maintain relationships between tables, facts, dimensions, granularity and security rules such as RLS and OLS.
  • Perform cleaning, standardization and preparation of data for analytical consumption.
  • Support monitoring of pipelines, updates, and data orchestration processes.
  • Apply simple optimizations to models, reports and queries, seeking to improve performance and usability.
  • Manage user access to reports and datasets, with support when necessary.
  • Work together with business, data and technology teams to ensure alignment of deliveries with product needs.
  • Participate in the tribe/team routines, contributing to process improvements, documentation and good practices.

Requirements

Technical Mastery (Hard Skills)

  • Strong experience with SQL for queries, modeling, processing and transformation of data in analytical environments.
  • Intermediate knowledge in data modeling, including dimensional modeling, defining costumes and dimensions, granularity, relationships and resolving redundancies.
  • Experience with data preparation, connection to different sources, cleaning, standardization of nomenclatures, identification of anomalies and resolution of import problems.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, including semantic modeling, DAX, Power Query/M, RLS, OLS and good practices for building reports and datasets.
  • Experience with data visualization, storytelling, segmentation, filters, slicers, drillthrough, tooltips, standardized layout and accessibility.
  • Basic/intermediate knowledge of Azure, Data Lake, medallion layers, data pipelines and Data Lakehouse concepts.
  • Knowledge of code versioning with Git, creating branches, opening Pull Requests and understanding the merge/publishing process.
  • Understanding performance and optimization in BI, using tools such as DAX Studio, Tabular Editor, Performance Analyzer and good modeling practices.
  • Knowledge of data governance and security, including managing access, permissions, traceability, data quality and applying security rules.
  • Complete higher education in Technology, Data, Engineering, Statistics, Administration, Economics or related areas.
  • Previous experience with BI, Analytics, Data or Analytical Engineering.
  • Practical experience with SQL, data modeling and building analytical solutions.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, DAX and Power Query.
  • Experience with code versioning and good development practices.
  • Ability to act autonomously in well-defined demands, maintaining quality, organization and alignment with the team.
