Technology architecture advisor (T2D)

Role Summary

This is a remote position.

TEHORA is currently looking for a technological architecture advisor with excellent technical skills, excellent knowledge and who wishes to leverage their skills within a versatile team.

Without being exhaustive, here are the services and deliverables that the successful candidate must provide.

Description of work or deliverables

• Identify all relevant information in order to clearly understand the scope of the mandate and draw up a portrait of the needs expressed;
• Provide technological support for technological development projects and systemic projects;
• Lead workshops with internal resources associated with the targeted aspects, with the aim of:

o collect information on the technologies in place, on the technological architecture orientations and on infrastructure capacity planning;

o align a solution with the reality of the organization;

• Analyze corporate needs in terms of the evolution of existing technologies and the possibilities of integrating new technologies with existing technologies;
• Propose, if necessary, either the evolution of existing technologies or replacement technologies or even propose new technological solutions to the stakeholders and decision-making bodies concerned;
• Produce the architecture and detailed description of the chosen solution and describe the additions and modifications to be made to the infrastructures in place, taking into account security and performance issues;
• Update the architecture and detailed description of the chosen solution and describe the additions/modifications to be made to the organization's existing infrastructure;
• Draw up a detailed list of the required technological components and produce a detailed assessment of the costs of acquiring and implementing the solution;
• Present the proposed solution to the relevant personnel and obtain final approval of the solution;
• Draw up a list of technological components to be acquired and produce a detailed assessment of the acquisition costs of the components of the solution;
• Prepare technical quotes for the components to be acquired and the justification documents required to support the acquisition process;
• Produce the documentation required for integration into operating processes with a view to putting them into production;
• Develop the solution implementation strategy and propose a completion schedule;
• Produce a detailed implementation plan and evaluate the required efforts.
• Any other responsibility that falls under this level of intervention.

Deliverables

• The deliverables associated with these responsibilities will be among the following:
• Intervention plan including the list of work to be carried out, the approach pursued and the proposed schedule;
• Project scope analysis document presenting the portrait and context of needs, the objectives of the solution;
• If required, technical opinions comparing potential technological solutions;
• Architectural document presenting the target solution, a technological architecture diagram, the detailed description of the additions and modifications to be made to Revenu Québec's infrastructures, as well as the terms and rules for integration with existing infrastructures and, if applicable, the issues and risks associated with security and performance;
• Document presenting the implementation strategy, the detailed implementation plan and the implementation schedule;
• Document presenting the list of technological components to be acquired, the evaluation of acquisition costs and the evaluation of efforts to implement the recommended solution;
• Presentation of the proposed technological solution to the personnel concerned;
• Technical quotes for the components to be acquired and documents justifying the solution chosen to feed the acquisition process, if applicable;
• Report covering some or all of the following elements: strategies, plans, cases and test reports relating to the chosen solutions;
• Report on workshops, meetings and mandate monitoring;
• Any documents underlying the preceding responsibilities.

The deliverables to be produced or revised include all or some of the following:

• Evaluation of the current information system (similar to P120S – DMR)
• Scope of change (similar to P140S – DMR)
• Technology and distribution, director level (similar to P370S – DMR)
• Technology and distribution, user level (similar to P269S – DMR)
• Technological advice
• System range (similar to P261S – DMR)
• Impacts and evaluation (similar to P299S – DMR)

Requirements

• 1.Hold an undergraduate university degree (bachelor's degree) in the field of information technology (computer science, software engineering, computer engineering or administration SIO option) or have two (2) years of relevant experience for each year of missing schooling;
• 2.Have ten (10) years of experience in the field of information technology, including five (5) years as a technological architecture advisor in a technological environment of similar scale to the organization;
• 3.Have five (5) years of experience in carrying out high-level studies (orientation studies, preliminary analyzes or impact analyses) in the field of technological infrastructures;

4.Have produced technological architecture files and proofs of concept in two projects, the scope of which is more than 1000 days, involving architectures in one of the following areas:

• Central servers, Unix, x86 or related technologies;
• Workstations;
• Telecommunications and connectivity;
• SAN storage or related technologies;
• Network infrastructure (Windows, Linux or others);
• Identification and authentication technologies (Windows, Linux or others);
• Architecture related to the Web, Internet and electronic delivery of services;
• Technologies related to infrastructure capacity planning.

5.Have completed in at least two (2) mandates, technological architecture files whose ecosystem is made up of central technologies (Mainframe, COBOL, CICS), as well as in .NET, JAVA, Web and cloud technologies;

• Have three (3) years of experience in overall architecture (integration) as part of projects bringing together all dimensions of an integrated solution (system, technology and work processes) in a multi-platform context and have written analysis reports or technological architecture documents.

7.Have three (3) years of DevSecOps technology experience in a cloud context with Azure or AWS
