Responsibilities

What awaits you

• You actively shape the development and further development of modern software solutions based on C# and React - from the idea to productive use.
• You design and implement new features where clean, modular, maintainable and performant architectures are not a nice-to-have, but standard.
• Of course, you use modern AI coding tools in your everyday development work - for example for analysis, refactoring, debugging, test generation, documentation and the faster implementation of high-quality solutions.
• You work with an AI-first mindset: When taking on new tasks, you actively think about how AI and agentic development approaches can be used sensibly to increase quality, speed and effectiveness in engineering.
• You will be involved where intelligent functions, automation and AI components meaningfully expand our software products and create real added value for our customers.
• You translate technical requirements into well-thought-out technical concepts and implement them independently - if necessary, in close cooperation with experts from hygiene, microbiology or clinical operations.
• You work with MS SQL Server and are responsible for database design, high-performance queries, optimizations and, if necessary, migrations - you always keep an eye on data quality and stability.
• You ensure quality through code reviews, tests, automation and clean documentation, thereby contributing to sustainable, maintainable code.
• You work as an equal in a team, actively participate in architecture and technology discussions and enjoy sharing your knowledge - for example through technical sparring or coaching younger developers.

Requirements

What we expect

• You have completed training as an IT specialist for application development or have completed a degree - ideally in computer science or a comparable area.
• You have at least 3 years of solid professional experience in software development.
• You work confidently with C# and have experience with modern web technologies, especially React. Clean code, good structures and sustainable software development are a given for you.
• You have experience with relational databases, preferably Microsoft SQL Server.
• You have practical experience with modern AI coding tools in everyday development - ideally with cursors, Claude Code or comparable tools. You know how to use such tools productively, reflectively and in a quality-conscious manner.
• You have a good understanding of how AI-supported and agentic workflows can meaningfully accelerate and improve software development - and what their limitations are.
• Ideally, you already have experience in incorporating AI functionalities, automation or intelligent assistance functions into software products or in helping to design corresponding technical concepts.
• You are open to new ways of working, learn quickly and want to consistently develop your day-to-day development towards AI-first engineering.
• Ideally, you have knowledge or a good understanding of pathogens, hygiene and infection prevention - especially if our products are used in a healthcare or laboratory environment.
• You have very good knowledge of spoken and written German – both technically and communicatively.
• You have a high level of teamwork ability, work independently and in a structured manner and enjoy innovation, responsibility and continuous learning.
