Role Summary

Reporting to the System & Architecture department within Robotics R&D, the Software/Digital Solutions Architect is at the heart of the development of robotic systems, in particular on the software platforms that drive Stäubli Robotic solutions. He ensures the architectural coherence of the entire product portfolio, in close collaboration with the Software, R&D and Product Management teams.

So, your missions are as follows

Define the digital architecture of robotic solutions (industrial robots and mobile robots)

Design the interfaces between the major software building blocks, application layers and external services (cloud, vision, AI)

Establish and enforce architectural guidelines (patterns, dependency management) within development teams.

Guarantee the scalability, maintainability and performance of software architectures throughout the product life cycle.

Define communication models including perception and supervision

Define the cybersecurity architecture in accordance with IEC 62443 and NIS2 requirements (secure boot, network segmentation, update integrity).

Think about an architecture compatible with emerging approaches with the Innovation team: AI/embedded vision, digital twins, collaborative robotics interfaces.

Evaluate and standardize, in conjunction with business teams, simulation environments for hardware-in-the-loop and software-in-the-loop validation.

Define and govern OTA (Over-The-Air) update strategies with Product Management

Contribute to Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) with Capella and ensure high-level traceability of software requirements, from system specifications to validation.

Support teams with good architectural practices (design reviews, guidelines, patterns) and support skills development

Represent software expertise in technical governance bodies (architecture committees, project milestones).

Manage technological monitoring of solutions, architectures and digital trends in the robotics market.

Evaluate and qualify potential technological partners in order to strengthen the company's ecosystem and innovation capabilities.
