Consultant Senior H/F - Cloud Architect Expert GCP

Role Summary

Join Sopra Steria Next, the digital transformation consulting firm of the Sopra Steria group, within the France Division. You will join the Cloud, Architecture & IT Advisory specialty consultancy, and more precisely the GCP Tribe:

• Our teams support major accounts in their strategic Cloud transformation programs, by combining:
• Advice and definition of trajectories
• In-depth technical expertise
• Delivery of ambitious and secure Cloud solutions

In this context, we are looking for Senior Consultants to Consultant Managers with triple GCP expertise (Infrastructure, Data, Architecture) and capable of working on both consulting missions and delivery and integration projects.

You design and validate complete architectures including

• Data architectures (BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Dataproc, IA/ML, Looker)
• Infrastructure and platform architectures (GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud Run, networks, IAM)
• Security, resilience, observability and cost optimization models
• Automation pipelines in a DevSecOps approach (Terraform, CI/CD, GitOps)

You also provide advanced technical support to development or integration teams.

• Delivery and integration
• On mission, you are a GCP referent able to:
• Support detailed design and implementation of Cloud solutions
• Technically supervise internal or client teams
• Guarantee the quality, performance, safety and conformity of deliverables
• Actively participate in the delivery of complex Cloud projects
• Internal contribution Sopra Steria Next
• You intervene in the internal dynamics of the Cloud Tribe:
• Animation of technical communities
• Knowledge sharing, capitalization, mentoring
• Participation in the recruitment of experienced profiles
• Content writing (articles, use cases, white papers)
• Contribution to the relationship with the Google partner (events, demonstrations, partner programs)
• Participation in offers and pre-sales matters

Responsibilities

• GCP Cloud Consulting and Strategy
• You work with our customers and business teams to:
• Define and guide Cloud transformation strategies
• Build target trajectories adapted to Data and Infrastructure challenges
• Participate in the framing, pre-sales phases and structuring work
• Produce architecture recommendations aligned with Google Cloud best practices
• Architecture and design of GCP solutions

Requirements

• Training and experience
• Bac+5 in computer science, engineering or equivalent
• 5 to 10+ years of experience in Cloud, Data and/or Infrastructure architecture
• Proven expertise on Google Cloud Platform
• Hybrid experience: advice, framing, architecture, delivery
• Expected key skills
• GCP expertise
• Google Cloud Professional Architect (or Data Engineer, Network Engineer) certification
• Mastery of Data and Platform GCP services
• Solid knowledge of Cloud security
• Design of Landing Zones, network architectures, IAM, workloads
• Knowledge of GKE, Cloud Run, Compute Engine, Observability
• Hybrid skills Consulting / Integration
• Ability to intervene in framing and strategy phases
• Ability to deliver architectures and supervise implementations
• Relational ease and advisory posture
• Working in a multi-actor environment with autonomy and leadership
• Complementary technical practices
• Development (Python, Go, Java, JavaScript)
• Automation and DevSecOps (Terraform, GitLab CI, Cloud Build…)
• Knowledge of other Cloud Providers (AWS, Azure) preferred
• Knowledge of Agile and DevOps methods
• Personal qualities
