Role Summary
Reporting to the System Architecture & Global Labs department within Robotics R&D, you manage the test laboratories as well as the team in charge of integration, verification, validation and qualification (IVVQ) activities for Stäubli industrial robots. You guarantee the availability of testing resources, the adequacy of resources with project needs and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering and validation practices, in close collaboration with the R&D teams and project management.
At the heart of the development of future generations of Stäubli industrial robots, you take responsibility for a team of around ten employees and strategic test laboratories contributing directly to the performance, quality and reliability of our robotic solutions.
Laboratory management
- Ensure the availability, safety and performance of testing resources
- Define and manage the budget for your area
- Supervise the installation, maintenance and development of laboratory infrastructure and equipment
- Guarantee compliance of activities with regulatory requirements and safety rules

Responsibilities
Team management
- Supervise, support and develop a team of engineers and test technicians
- Define, communicate and decline the team's objectives
- Organize activities and ensure load/capacity adequacy in order to guarantee continuity of service
- Lead the team and promote collaboration with all R&D stakeholders
- Participate in the recruitment, integration and development of employee skills
Technical contribution and continuous improvement
- Contribute to the improvement of development, integration and validation processes
- Participate in the implementation of standards, methods and good engineering practices
- Provide your expertise on topics related to robotic systems and mechatronics
- Contribute to the performance and transformation of the Robotics division
- Mobility: Occasional international travel
Requirements
Education: engineer or Bac+5 mechatronics or similar
Experience: at least 5 years of experience in technical team management and/or in the management of testing activities within an industrial environment
Specific skills
- Good understanding of complex mechatronic systems and integration, validation and qualification issues
- Ability to manage activities, define priorities and arbitrate in a multi-project environment
- Excellent communication and cross-coordination skills
- Ability to unite teams around common objectives
- Strong quality culture and continuous improvement
- Knowledge of industrial product development processes and testing, integration and validation activities
- Mastery of budgetary management and monitoring of operational performance
- Comfort with digital and collaborative tools (Microsoft 365 and business tools)
- Ability to support change and develop team skills
- Foreign language: fluent English
- Qualities: leadership and sense of teamwork, rigor and sense of organization, technical curiosity
