Role Summary

This is a remote position.

TEHORA is currently looking for a Site Engineer in the field of civil engineering with excellent technical skills, excellent knowledge and who wishes to use their skills within a versatile team.

Without being exhaustive, here are the services and deliverables that the successful candidate must provide.

Description of work or deliverables

Ensure a continuous presence during the construction of buried civil engineering works, more particularly to monitor the execution of the work and note changes resulting from particular conditions;

  • Verification of the contractual documents provided;
  • The preparation of large-scale drawings of details not foreseeable during the preparation of final plans, but required for construction;
  • The provision of written advice on technical problems arising during construction which require consideration, with or without a site visit;
  • Verification of shop drawings and those of manufacturers to ensure that they comply with market conditions, all for recommendation purposes;
  • Preparing and forwarding correspondence relating to construction work;
  • The formulation of recommendations to the CITY regarding the approval of equivalence relating to construction materials or equipment;

Consult on the civil engineering aspects of a work supervision project on municipal infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Must be a member as an engineer of the OIQ;
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in the field of construction site supervision;
  • Have completed three (3) roadway site monitoring projects over the last eight (8) years;
  • Hold an ASP Construction Card. (Preferred)
