Senior Test Automation Engineer*

Role Summary

In your area of responsibility, you are responsible for the development, further development and operation of our test automation landscape.

In addition, you develop and optimize automated tests and existing test automation frameworks - especially based on Robot Framework.

You establish standards, best practices and quality guidelines for test automation.

You will also integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and continuously develop our automation processes based on GitHub.

You advise development and project teams on the introduction and scaling of automated test procedures, carry out reviews, actively share your know-how within the team and promote the expansion of test automation expertise.

Last but not least, you will evaluate new technologies, especially AI-supported solutions, and further develop our test infrastructure and test environments.

Requirements

• You are characterized by an analytical and solution-oriented way of working, strong communication skills and very good knowledge of German.
• You can impress with your expertise in setting up and further developing test automation frameworks, ideally with Robot Framework.
• In addition, you have experience with Git-based version management and CI/CD processes, preferably in the GitHub environment.
• You have good knowledge of Python, TypeScript, PowerShell, SQL or comparable technologies and have already gained experience in testing APIs and interfaces (REST, GraphQL).
• You also have an ISTQB Foundation Level certification.
• Ideally, you have practical experience in using test management and test automation tools such as Xray, OpenText UFT, OpenText ALM or comparable solutions.
• A successfully completed degree in computer science, business informatics or a comparable qualification as well as at least three years of experience in test automation of complex software solutions round off your profile.
