Role Summary

Do you like to build a bridge between the department and IT? Do you love structuring complex requirements and translating them into viable solutions? And would you like to actively help shape a central data platform?

Then become part of our Customer Data Store (CDS) team and work with us to design the data hub for our sales and customer applications.

As a requirements/data engineer, you will design BarmeniaGothaer's central data platform in the Customer Data Store (CDS) team, thereby creating the basis for modern sales and end customer applications through to conversational and agentic AI solutions in the group.

You take on a key role at the interface between the department and IT, sharpen requirements and ensure tailor-made technical implementation.

You have the concerns of the applications and systems that consume data from the CDS on your screen, as well as the timelines and dependencies on connections and delivery systems that have yet to be implemented.

You are actively involved in the design of the software architecture of the CDS and clarify important architectural issues together with your colleagues in Enterprise Architecture.

Managing stakeholders and advising potential users of the CDS are just as much a part of your day-to-day business as working with the CDS development team.

By analyzing errors, you make an important contribution to ensuring the smooth operation of the CDS within the team.

You work with agile methods and are part of a Scrum team.

Last but not least, you moderate workshops and meetings to clarify requirements and coordinate implementations and create and maintain requirements documents and user stories for the team.

Requirements

  • Your strong ability to work in a team and your willingness to take on responsibility are what set you apart - as is your affinity and enthusiasm for a constantly developing software product.
  • You are not afraid to deal with new stakeholders or topics and thus gradually build up new know-how and expand existing ones.
  • You have completed a degree in (business) information technology - alternatively you have IT training or a comparable qualification.
  • You feel at home at the interface between the department and IT and can combine both perspectives.
  • You can structure complex issues and relationships and have communication and conflict skills that enable you to reach concrete agreements with stakeholders.
  • Ideally, you have knowledge in the areas of data modeling and BIPRO.
  • If you enjoy agile software development and organization as well as automation and solving complex problems, you will be an excellent fit for our team.

Benefits

  • Human interaction: You will experience an appreciative, open, diverse interaction - genuine, competent and with an eye for each other and for our customers.
  • Flexible & family-friendly: 60 to 80% mobile working (depending on the team), flexible working time models, 30 days of vacation, the option of up to six months of sabbatical and individual support for families because life and work belong together.
  • Healthy & well looked after: Strong health management, company restaurants and barista coffee bars, sports and prevention offers as well as our confidential and anonymous advice offer if you need professional or private support.
  • Learn & grow with passion: seminars, programs, language courses and e-learning so that you can develop professionally and personally and try out new things.
  • Prepare and protect your business: Partial employer-financed company pension scheme from day one, employer-financed company health insurance, group accident insurance and discounts, for example special conditions and corporate benefits.
  • Modern equipment: hardware, tools and development environments so you can develop, test and deploy.
  • Error 500 (Server Error)!!1500.That’s an error. There was an error. Please try again later. That’s all we know.
