We are a dynamic cloud and data engineering team looking for like-minded, motivated tech developers. We value personal responsibility and business results.
As the analytics department of a global management consultancy, we implement data-driven strategies in production systems. Our customers include leading DAX and Fortune Global 500 companies who rely on our expertise in the areas of data platforms, big data and cloud engineering.
You will be part of an international environment with agile teams and a boutique atmosphere that offers room for experimentation and growth, coupled with above-average compensation and attractive social benefits.
- Your tasks as part of our cloud and data engineering team:
- Assuming overall responsibility for projects: from project scope to coordination with stakeholders to achieving measurable results
- Design data architectures for batch and streaming workloads, at both small and big data scales
- Deploy and manage the underlying cloud infrastructure to support these architectures with providers such as AWS, Azure or GCP
- Creating Python ETL/ELT pipelines orchestrated using Airflow, Dagster or Prefect
- Working with data lake technologies and optimizing (OLAP) data warehouses/lakehouses
- Model and store data in SQL and NoSQL databases and optimize performance and cost
- Creating web APIs using popular Python frameworks (e.g. FastAPI and Flask) and describing them using standards such as OpenAPI/Swagger
- Automate deployments using infrastructure-as-code and container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift
- that's you
- A passionate data engineer who loves being at the forefront of modern, AI-driven technologies, but also cares about technical craftsmanship
- Relevant hands-on experience with a cloud hyperscaler (preferably AWS, Azure or GCP)
- Experience in developing production-ready software is preferred
- Quality Python development with idiomatic and thoroughly tested code
- Experience tuning and optimizing relational databases (e.g. through indexing, sharding, or partitioning)
- Experience with tools for orchestrating data workflows (e.g. Apache Airflow, Dagster or Prefect)
- Competence in processing large amounts of data and using modern analytics stacks (e.g. Apache Spark, Snowflake, dbt or similar technologies)
- Confident in using containerization and container orchestration (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes or similar technologies)
- Very good knowledge of German (C1 level) and fluent English skills
- Customer focused, results oriented and willing to travel to clients occasionally
