As part of a large-scale airport project for the supply and installation of baggage handling and sorting systems, BEUMER Group is strengthening its teams and recruiting an Industrial Equipment Installation Site Manager (M/F) in order to coordinate all on-site project activities with all stakeholders and provide project management support in interactions with the client. The size of the projects ranges from 70 to 150 million Euros.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Project Director, the Industrial Equipment Installation Site Manager (M/F) supervises the construction, installation and testing of a baggage handling and sorting system (BHS) project, including mechanical and electrical equipment, automation and support structures. This role leads independent and subcontractor teams, guaranteeing safety, quality and compliance with on-site activity schedules. He is directly linked to Beumer's project management, QHSE and customer support teams.

The main missions will be

• Direct and organize all on-site construction and installation activities for the BHS project, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, on budget and to specification.
• Participate in pre-construction planning, estimating and staffing requirements.
• Conduct daily coordination meetings with subcontractors, installation supervisors and customer representatives as well as on-site maintenance and logistics.
• Serve as an intermediary between the project team, the client and suppliers, always maintaining professional and effective communication.
• Foster a strong culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement.
• Supervise the installation and commissioning of baggage sorting systems and associated equipment
• Ensure the project is constructed in accordance with contract documents and engineering requirements.
• Identify and resolve technical, logistical or planning conflicts in a proactive and collegial manner
• Lead and coordinate testing and commissioning of systems in cooperation with engineering and customer support teams.

Requirements

 Expected skills

• 8 to 10+ years of experience in construction or site management of electromechanical systems (conveyors, sorters, AS/RS, etc.).
• Bac+2 to Bac+5 in electrical engineering, electromechanics, industrial maintenance or industrial engineering. Significant experience in site management and coordination of subcontractors may be taken into account in lieu of the diploma.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary and multicultural subcontractors and installation teams in dynamic industrial environments.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret technical plans and specifications.
• Fluent English essential
